INTENDED USE: Our "Do Everything" carbon wheelset. This wheelset is ideal for Time Trials, Triathlons, and also spot-on for sportives, bunch-racing, and general road work.

Your wheels will be handbuilt to order here in the uk by Andy Morgan, owner and founder of k1 wheels. Turnaround time is 4-7 days!

The 2017 wider-rimmed full carbon clincher/tubeless (2-Way Fit) version of our best-selling K155c aero wheels. Fully handbuilt here at K1 and offered with a choice of spokes and hubs. Designed to be aero, to be strong and with a 1450 gram option available ........ to be extremely light too.

This is the newest of our K1 carbon wheelsets. At 23-24mm wide, with a full carbon u-shaped rim profile - it is aimed at those riders who prefer an ultra-modern wider rimmed wheelset (but not too wide!).  The handling characteristics and strength of modern U rims is superb - even in pretty serious crosswinds - especially when compared to the V-rims of only a few years ago.

They come in at approx 1660 Grams a PAIR in their standard format - which can be reduced to well under 1500 grams with a spoke/hub upgrade!!

It's the partner to our long established K155c wheelset (which has a more conventional toroidal/semi-u shaped narrower rim and an alloy braking surface).  Ideal for tyres from 23c right up to 30c and beyond. Perfect for running tyres at lower pressure, whether you choose clincher or TUBELESS tyre setup!  And of course .......... arguably more aerodynamic and faster rolling than traditional hoops! Though this debate will continue to rage and rage!

In terms of rim width we think we've really hit the sweet spot at 23-24mm wide. We carefully explored all of the many possible widths that aero wheels are being developed in. We developed and continually honed our own testing protocols to this effect - and critically we looked at a whole raft of practical "real-world" issues too that many rim makers simply overlook.

For example frame spacing: Yes its possible to go wider than 23-24mm but at what point do wheels begin to compromise the frame. The last thing you want is to find that your carbon wheels rub your frame the moment you get out of the saddle! 23-24mm wide is in our view the best blend of performance and practical usability in our experience.

Whether you intend to go wider or narrower - we'll have the right wheelset for you! And if you have a narrow clearance frame - we can special order in some 20mm rims for you and we do find that's the only solution for users of many brands of bikes (Notably Scotts for example!)

NOTE: If you are intending to race alpine descents in very hot weathers, you may want to look at our 2018 full-carbon clinchers or our carbon clinchers with Alloy braking surface, which have a more familiar braking feel. All full carbon clincher wheels (from all brands) do need more considered "pulsed" braking on long hot descents to prevent rims from heating too much (Our new 2018 full-carbons have the highest temperature resistant rim tech available!).

The technology has come such a long way in recent years that most riders are now fine with full-carbons, and they are lighter of course. We just like to give our customers all the facts . In fact we have never had a single rim issue on any our carbon wheels - we think this is because we are very straight with people about their relative advantages and disadvantages!

Didn''t have the money for Zipps - wanted wheels that were aero, and a bit nice - but also had to be tough - as i''ve not alot of dosh! The kinetics have done me proud in sportifs and doing a few tri''s. For the money they are really something. They did forget to include Quicl Releases - but i rang up and they came next day.

Great wheels, they look and feel great to ride. A great improvement on the standard wheels that came with the bike. Excellent communication and delivery information.

I carried out a lot of research before deciding to purchase the K155UC carbon clinchers wheels with 28mm wide tyres. I decided to go for lighter Sapim CRray on Bitex hubs, so they would be lighter than my existing wheel set. I have found a marked increase in speed on the flat using the same effort / power & down hill speed has increased also. Really like how they look. So all in all I'm very happy with my purchase at a very competitive price & would highly recommend these wheels to others.

I do love these wheels. It did take some serious soul-searching before i finally hit the button and went for wider rims. (I used to race on 16mm rims back in olden-times!) I did have a few problems with setup as My Tektro brake calipers could not really handle the width of the rim. As soon as I put some Shimano brakes on all fine and I have not looked back - 28c tyres are so comfortable too. Brave new world!

I bought these on recommendation from a friend. I've nothing to compare them with as they are my first and only (ever i suspect) pair of carbon wheels. I do know they make me go faster and make my bike look very nice. Being able to choose the finish colour is a very nice touch. Thank you.
