THIS IS THE MUCH ANTICIPATED "DISC" SPECIFIC / (2-WAY FIT: CLINCHER AND TUBELESS COMPATIBLE) VERSION OF OUR TOP-END ULTRALITE AERO ROAD WHEELSET: BUILT FROM RACE PROVEN HIGH-END COMPONENTS AND COMBINING SUPERB STRENGTH, WITH SUPERB AERODYNAMICS ...... WHILST WEIGHING AS LITTLE AS 1645 GRAMS WITH CXRAY SPOKES. OR A SCANT 1725 GRAMS A PAIR WITH STANDARD SAPIM RACE SPOKES.
Equipped with brand new 24mm wide DISC specific rims which can either be run with the new style tubeless tyres (or can also be run with traditional clincher tyres and inner tubes.) Superbly aero and comfortable too - they will take a tyre from 25c up to 40c width!
Light and tough enough for the hilliest and roughest of Sportives, Cyclocross courses and gravel tracks. And fast-accelerating enough for racing, and aero enough to ensure that you gain every possible watt of drag reduction. These are our premium lightweight/ aero PERFORMANCE DISC wheelset.
It's an incredibly fast-moving time for road disc systems at the moment with lots of competing standards for Axle types and frame fitting methods and for rotor fastening.
These wheel are totally versatile and ready to work all the modern variants that different brands are working to ( apart from the crazy specialized SCS system - which we understand Spesh is now abandoning for 2018 onwards!)

Handbuilt to order and available for the whole wide range of modern axle and rotor fitment systems. Whatever your frame needs we can configure these wheels to your bike. And even if you change your bike - the hubs are all simply convertible to all the other axles standards! We think that's massively important as it future-proofs your wheels! (no one wants to be left with the betamax of hub types and obsolete wheels!)

AXLES : We can configure your wheel axles to meet your frame requirements. So whether you have standard quick release or the more modern "thru-axle" setup, or whether you have 135mm or 142 mm rear spacing, we can supply them ready-to-roll!
ROTOR FITMENT : We use Novatec 771/772 hub (for 6-bolt rotor builds) and Bitex 6-Drive hubs (for Centerlock and 6-bolt rotor builds).
You can run these as conventional clincher wheels or you can set them up as Tubeless. Tubeless wheels can be run at lower pressure than clinchers and this helps provide a more comfortable ride and it also eliminates the possibility of pinch flat punctures (caused from hitting potholes etc.) It's also the case that by filling the tubeless tyre with a sealant such as STANS you can pretty much avoid all punctures forever more - even if you ride over glass or a nail sticks right through your tyre. Just remove it and the tyre will reseal around it!!!

But even if you're unsure about whether to go tubeless just yet - worry not - you can run these wheels with inner tubes and clincher tyres in the traditional way!
If you'd like the advantage that superlight wheels give you - but don't want to hand over the £700 or so that the Ksyrium Pro DISC wheelset will set you back, then these wheels at a little more than half the price and only a tad more weight may be what you are looking for. Handmade by us in our workshop in Gloucestershire, and utilising top quality build components.
Please note: We don't compromise on spoke numbers to save weight. Our view is that a minimum of 24 spokes is needed in each wheel, to cope with the increased forces that disc braking creates compared to rim braking. Some brands are potentially compromising safety we feel by lowering disc wheel spokes count to save weight!
